Today’s drawing is not much, just a red comb that was created days ago. I’ve been so busy looking for apartments for the past week that I didn’t really have time to many anything new :s. Hopefully, that will all be changing soon! I’d like to get some new drawings in as well as work on another cosplay too! I won’t be mentioning the cosplay just yet but it will be an exciting one for sure :3.

Today’s illustration is not brand new. It’s actually a character concept I created way last year, but I have not yet posted it to this blog yet. I made this along with several other characters during the road trip to San Jose last year for Fanime Con.

To be honest, I think creating these characters off the top of my head was the best part of the trip. I didn’t have a lot of fun at that convention last year mainly because it was unplanned, I had about $60 stolen from me by some folks I was rooming with and I missed pretty much every cosplay gathering during the whole con. Yeah, I was not a happy camper at all xD. So I just whipped out my pencil and notebook and started drawing (like I always do when i’m stressed. Best remedy ever xD!)

I’m still quite happy with this drawing, considering I drew this during a car ride (I’m a G like that I guess xD!). So yeah, that’s the story of this drawing :3.

I drew an image of a purple haired individual wearing a majestic, royal earring/charm. I had a hard time making the earring shimmer since I was in a rush (had to catch the train, hehe) so this was the best I could do with the effects. I do like how the blue earring and purple hair look beside one another. I was going for a “mermaid” like appearance, if that makes any sense…:p

Also on a side not, the reason why I wasn’t able to update the blog yesterday was because I was attending Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo. I had a pretty fun time there, I cosplayed with my boyfriend, took a few pics, met up with other fellow cosplayers, went through the exhibit hall and saw some old super hero actors. Some said the convention wasn’t all that great this year because of the long lines to get in and I also heard that the staff wasn’t all that great either. But on a personal note, I had quite a bit of fun. My feet did get tired after a while but that tends to happen whenever i’m on my feet for long.

I do plan on adding the Comikaze pictures as well as a bunch of my old cosplay stuff to the cosplay gallery eventually. But for now, I’m sorting through all of my pics and deciding which ones I want to expose to the world.

So to start, I’ve never really been picky about my vegetables even as a child. My mom pretty much raised all of us to looove vegetables believe it or not, and now, I pretty much can down any vegetable, including roots xD.

I took a little stroll in my kitchen today and picked out some root veggies (carrot, parsnip and turnip). I just made some quick sketches of each vegetable and made them look pretty with a little help from ArtRage and PS.

Lastly, I thought i’d throw in that I’m slowly updating my daily illustration gallery with past art, for those of you who weren’t around when I first started my blog. Please do take a look :3! Maybe sometime soon, i’ll muster up enough courage to post some of my cosplay stuff :3.

So there I was, playing with all of the lipstick, eye shadow and mascara. I put some lipstick on and looked in the mirror (in horror). At the time, I thought I looked like a duck with make up xD. I sometimes wonder if I was on to something back then, since the word “duck face” now exists xD. To this day, I have no idea why I felt that way but after that incident, I rarely ever wore make up (especially lipstick) again. I do admit that I do use make up of another kind from time to time. I am a cosplayer so I often times have to paint my face with theater make up and paint. But if I can help it, I try to avoid using any at all.

So that’s my little story for today. I made a drawing consisting of various types of make up just for fun and to help tell the story a little better. ^^

Anyway, I decided to draw some autumn leaves for today’s post. I recently did a project that kind of reminded me of the elements of fall so I took the time out of this evening to draw these! I think that autumn leaves are gorgeous, especially in October (my favorite month of the year, Halloween month, haha!)

Speaking of Halloween, I’m actually planning a few October posts with some short real life ghost stories xD. If you know me in real life, I am a HUGE believer in the paranormal. In all honesty though, I have some very scary things that have happened to me and some friends of mine within the past few years that I just couldn’t ever explain.

Finally, I’m working on an I 365 Art gallery pretty soon. Well, two galleries to be exact. One with all of the art I have posted to the blog and one containing the costumes/cosplays I have made during the past couple of years. I wanna put up some of my best pics in a gallery on this site for you guys to see. Cosplay counts as an art too, so I don’t see why they shouldn’t be here either :3.

Going to hit up an all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant tonight with my boyfriend. I haven’t had any K BBQ in at least a year, it’s a shame. Mainly because it’s usually very expensive (especially all you can eat!)

Today, all I gave myself time to draw were these slabs of Korean BBQ xD. It literally took like 10 minutes to draw this since it’s so small. I like the smoke effect that I was able to create digitally with Photoshop. Just a year ago, I wouldn’t have known how to make something even as simple as that xD.

On a side not, I got invited to do a renaissance fair photoshoot with my girls next month. At this time, I don’t have any renaissance cosplays in my closet, so i’m planning on sewing my own from scratch (probably be a wench or a peasant or something since they were most common back in those days!) I’ve never been to a renaissance fair before and i’m pretty darn excited about it.

Well, I’m logging off for today. I hope you guys like today’s blog art. I’m gonna try to take things easy tonight and try not to worry so much about stuff going on in my life :3.

Anyway, I decided to base today’s art around food, breakfast in particularly. I can never quite understand why on Earth I like drawing food so much :s? I’ve just always been a food person since as far back as I can remember. I also like to cook if you didn’t know.

These were just some quick sketches I created while watching the news early this morning. I didn’t really include much detail in the drawings but I did have fun going over them in color this afternoon. I was thinking of making Kawaii breakfast (draw cute faces on them. Why on Earth do people do that? The food would be too cute to eat xD!)

The reason why the focal point of today’s drawings is on breakfast is because it’s the one meal I rarely ever miss. On most days, I usually have a big breakfast, I usually don’t have lunch unless I’m meeting with friends/family. Otherwise, I don’t have time for lunch most of the time.For dinner, I cram in all of my veggies big time!

But anyway, I don’t want to make this a post about the foods that I eat through-out the day xD. I’ll give you a bit

more of a back story on these drawings. Since I go to conventions a lot, I tend to eat at Denny’s or Ihop the most since they are the cheapest and most available places to go to at an anime convention. If you ask other cosplayers and con goers in California, they’ll probably say the same thing! I’m not really sure what the customs in other states/countries are, but Ihop and Denny’s are considered con food here xD.

That and I truly believe that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. I can run well all day if I eat something in the morning. Lunch is not as important for me as breakfast (I snack throughout the day. Not sure how healthy this is…) I’ve also been hearing for years that girls who eat breakfast in the morning tend to lose and keep weight off easier. I can vouch for this personally! I’ve never had any weight problems.

If you haven’t noticed this, I am beginning to post more than one drawing every day now and am somewhat having a blast doing this. I think this is a great idea because it’s a great way of letting you guys know what’s on my mind for the day. I’d like to eventually write little blog stories everyday using my daily drawings as well. I hope you guys enjoyed this! See you tomorrow :3!

Remember the headhunter character I sketched a while back? Here she is again, except she’s in color today. I dug this up from the July posts and decided to finish it up today. It has no background for right now, as I can’t really think of what to put. :s I did make sure that I included bright and vibrant colors as well as bold greens for the leaves. I was debating on what color I should make her head dress. It was red in the beginning and then I turned it blue in the end. I didn’t want it to look too much like hair either (her hair is under the headdress xD!)

I’m quite pleased with this! Thanks to everyone who replied to my post yesterday ^^. Your replies really made my day. :3

I’ve said a few times that I wanted to take some pics of some costumes I made and post them to the blog, but I am a little camera shy xD. Ironic, considering I take hundreds of photos at conventions :s. It’s because I’m not the only one in costume. But I guess it’s about time that I do that :s Hehehe.

Here is one of myself in a harlequin costume that I made a few months ago. It’s my most recent cosplay that I created. Unsurprisingly, I scared a few people at the Anime Expo when I wore this o_o I guess some people have clown phobias, but I quite like this costume. There is nothing scary about it in my opinion and i’m pretty damn scared of traditional clowns xD.

But yea, anyway xD…this is a subculture that I participate in quite frequently. I’m not sure if this even relates to today’s post but I hope you like it anyway :3.
