About today’s pic, it’s not really a new one :S but it is still one of my favorites that I have not shared here on this blog. I have quite a bit of art that has yet to be posted here. I like to add only new things here but I still think this is worth sharing.

I drew this many, many years ago (well, about 4 years ago) and it’s one of the few illustrations that have still held up for a while. Most of my old stuff, I can’t even look at now without cringing and feeling embarrassed xD. But not this one, I worked super hard on this one back when I made it.

I spent a lot of time on the outfit mainly. I wanted to give her a bit of a glam rock/punk look. It’s not quite something I would sport outside, just looks pretty to me :3 hehe.

I am not in any way forcing anyone to believe in ghosts. I’m just telling a story that really happened to me and I have no way of explaining it. I’ve experienced a lot more where this comes from, but this is probably the scariest one of all the weird things I have experienced in my life. The reason why this experience was the most terrifying to me is because of the way that it happened and the level of aggression that was present. Well, here goes…

The following event took place just 2 years ago. was staying at my best friend’s mom’s girl friend’s house (that’s totally long and I know I probably could have shortened it some!) in Pasadena. We were attending a popular anime convention in town (Pacific Media Expo) and we didn’t want to have to pay for a hotel. My friend mentioned that a friend of her mom’s lived just a few blocks away from the convention and that she would let us stay there for a while. She was an emergency and live in nurse so she was hardly ever around. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t there that entire weekend!

So anyway, we arrived the house early that Friday and prepared to stay there the whole weekend. We enjoyed our first day at the con and everything was going great until nightfall. Around 11 or so, we left the convention and headed back to her mom’s friend’s place to get some sleep.My friend and I were cosplaying that day and we were covered in paint from head to toe pretty much xD! The place had 2 bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. This was very convenient. I chose to shower in the bathroom downstairs (I wish I didn’t!) and my friend went upstairs and in to that bathroom.

As I was in the shower, I heard a very aggressive and heavy knock on the bathroom door. I called out for my friend and she didn’t respond. I got out of the shower, wrapped a towel around me and opened the door. To my surprise, no one was there. I figured it was my friend and that she was probably just messing around. So I jumped back in the shower, without a further question in my mind.

After I finished up with my shower, I went upstairs to see if my friend was finished showering. She had a lot more body paint on her body than I did so it was no surprise to me that she was still showering! I waited for her in the living room and about 10 minutes later, she was out. She came in to the living room and we began to have just a normal conversation. I can’t quite remember what we were talking about at the time, but I do know that we did mention what we were gonna do the next day.

Not really thinking much about, I went ahead and asked her if she knocked on my bathroom door while I was in the shower. She had this weird look on her face, like a really bewildered look. She responded with a no. I fell super silent for a moment and then she proceeded to ask why I asked that question. All I could do was ask if she was sure that she didn’t knock on my door. Then she mentioned hearing me talk to someone while she was in the shower upstairs.

At this point, we were both freaking out xD. She thought I was kidding and that I was trying to scare her, but I kept telling her that I wasn’t. She said she never came back downstairs and went straight to the shower upstairs, which I saw her do. After the initial shock of the door knocking event, we tried to find a logical explanation for the knock. We considered the possibility that it could have been the neighbors, but this was a free standing house, there were no neighbors connected to the house. Someone had to have physically knocked on the door. I saw the door move as if a physical someone was knocking on it for crying out loud xD! I mean, it sounded like a man’s fists, knocking at the bathroom door, almost angrily!

For the duration of the convention, we stayed far, far away from the downstairs bathroom and bedroom. We kept hearing weird noises down there from above as well while we were over there. Okay, so you don’t have to believe my story, but all I can say is that this really did happen and to this day, me and her still don’t have an explanation for why it happened. I wanted to ask the owner of the house if there were ghosts in the home when she came back that Sunday, but I was too afraid to because I didn’t want to seem crazy I guess :s.

I only had time to make a sketch obviously since I had some things to do this weekend. Still hunting for an apartment with my boyfriend, we have about 9 weeks left to find something to move in to. All we’ve been able to find were studios, I’m not a big fan of studio apartments, as they are just not spacious enough :s. We’re looking for at least a 1 bedroom. Every time we find one, it’s always too far away. It’s really getting annoying now x.x…

Well it’s Saturday night, so I think instead of spending the night on my comp, i’m gonna watch t.v. for once. I rarely ever turn on the television to be honest. :s

I was sort of reflecting on my childhood when I made this drawing. Remember those times when you wanted your very own tree house as a child? I used to love playing in my friend’s tree house everyday after school. I didn’t live in a house or have a backyard, so having one of my own was only something I could dream of back then. Back when I was a kid, I wanted a tree house, a pink one to be exact xD! Yeah, I was a little girl after all. :p

I wanted to make this tree house drawing to look kind of simple. Most of my sketches are somewhat simple looking, since I focus most of my efforts on the coloring process. I hope to turn this in to something stunning by tomorrow. I probably won’t color it pink though xD. I’m over that!

I want it to look very suburban in the end. Like it’s sitting out in the middle of nowhere atop a giant tree.

Well, I did manage to squeeze in a daily drawing at least! If you can’t really tell, it is supposed to be waves crashing out in the middle of nowhere. When I first started drawing this, I was going to try to put in a small boat somewhere in the picture, but that would have just sucked for the boat xD! A giant wave coming its way with no way of escape. Who knows, maybe i’ll throw in a boat someday. I was mostly trying to focus on the mixed colors within the waves. This was pretty much a very quick sketch but I still like to presentable at least.

Also, I hope you guys liked yesterday’s post. I think i’ll write more like that sometime.

I’m not aye why this be but while I was drawing t’ pirate cat, I almost instantly knew that he had t’ be a big orange cat. Pirates be dominant, and I guess I see big, orange cats as bein’ dominant as well (I don’t know why! Most orange cats I have come across were buckoly.) T’ illustration took only about 2 hours t’ make t’ entire thin’. I wanted t’ have it done in time for this awesome day!

On a side note, this day would be so much better if me allergies weren’t actin’ up so badly. This be probably t’ worst me seasonal allergies have been all year. I’m constantly sneezin’, both annoyin’ and embarrassin’. Anyway, have a good one!

I made this drawing around noon today before heading to a brand new sushi restaurant that opened up around my neighborhood not so long ago, called O Sushi. I’m a real sucker for some good sushi. It was a really nice restaurant, the food was great and the service was very nice!

The previous scenario is even more frustrating than the latter, and i’ve been going through it for like a week now. But it was completely amplified today :s. I tried to think of a theme for today’s blog post but I honestly wasn’t able to get it on paper. I was originally going to go for fairies or something related, but then I couldn’t figure out how I was going to draw them. This is a common problem faced by artist but it bugs me to the core for some reason xD. I guess it’s because I don’t like to waste a single minute throughout my days.

On a side note, I was thinking up ideas to implement to my webcomic in the future. I got to a point where I was just sitting in my room brainstorming for HOURS. Previously, I took an extended hiatus from my web comic due to life issues, about 5 months or more. I returned to updating my webcomic again Early this year and I felt like it wasn’t quite what it once was prior to my hiatus. So now, I’m just trying to think of ways to improve the story basically. :3

This morning, I found myself rewriting like half of the story line that I created a couple of years ago because I was no longer happy with my old writing style :s( I’ll be honest, my writing skills are not all that great. I’m not a very good writer, I just like to write stories :s). At the moment, i’m feeling pretty optimistic about the future of DeadFingers :3. I’m hoping to get it down completely right this time. I just hope that I don’t look back in another few years (like I always seem to be too good at doing :s) and think ‘what a mess’! xD

Not sure if I mentioned this yet or not, but i’m working on including more merchandise to I 365 Art sometime soon. It’s just a matter of choosing the right graphics to place on my merchandise as well as what kind I will be selling as well.

On a final note, here is a drawing of a goldfish that I made this afternoon. I have a special place in my heart for pet fish. I was a little sad a few days ago when I discovered that these fish that my boyfriend had died suddenly. I used to love observing them in their tank and seeing them come up at me every time I looked at the from the outside. I won’t say too much about them because it makes me said, but it just goes to show how short of lives they have x.x I get attached to animals so quickly and I usually get completely crushed when something happens to them Dx.

Firstly, I wanted to mention how awesome it is to be back in the swing of creating art for the blog again! I knew I had it in me to draw again for the blog but I was kind of lacking drive for a little while. I was going through a lot of ups and downs emotionally and health wise and i’m glad that is all on its way to mending itself. It’s safe to say that i’m back now. 🙂

Today’s drawing is actually an illustration I made for my webcomic DeadFingers. It was my way of moving the story along I guess. If you haven’t read that comic, please be sure to check that out some time :3.

I tried to incorporate a romantic evening look to the image. It’s not really one of my best but considering this only took about an hour to make. Also on a side note, i’m in a really weird mood these days. I’m in a ‘I wanna make a video game’ mood xD. As some of you may know, I’m going to school for webdesign and programming. So naturally, I jump in to one of those kinds of moods every now and then xD.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to craft out an adventure of my own. The more I studied in school, the more I realized how difficult it would be to do on my own. To make an awesome game, it requires a team of people and then some xD. I do have to admit that I am working on a small video game project with friends and friends of friends in my spare time. I am one of the concept artists for the team. Of course, I’m really hoping our project will turn in to something great but again, we only do this in our free time. We’re all either in college, work or both xD.
