Future-like desert scene

As you guys might have seen already, this is the colored version of the previous drawing I posted up a couple days ago. I added color as well as some mountains off in the distance in this version, I thought the earlier sketch was a little bland.

And of course I included bold/rich colors as well. I really enjoyed creating the clothing for Orn in this image, I just went with whatever I thought liked nice for her outfit. Since she’s a rogue, I didn’t want to give her too heavy of clothing and I wanted it to be tight fitting (for convenience).

I will be posting 4-5 days in a row for the next few days and will try to have a line up of art ready next week for when I’m at Anime Expo as well. I’ve suddenly gotten a lot of inspiration for art lately and I’d like to post everything i’ve been making to the blog as often as possible. For now, toodles!

Anyway, I planned on posting this on February 1st but I got caught up in a bunch of different things/projects so I am posting it today. It’s not colored yet but I do plan on coloring it sometime this week (basically when time permits it!) I wanted the flower and the girl to blend in sort of in this picture. I can’t quite explain where I got the concept from. As always, I try to be original.

I really would like to focus on my blog more these days but now that I am away from home and have many more responsibilities now (rent, bills, work etc.) my blog hasn’t been my top priority for a while…I’m trying to think of ways to balance my blog with my crazy work life xD. I have soooo much I wanna do with this blog in the future, aside from just posting art. I want to start selling some of my artwork very soon. :3

My resolution for the new year is to be more creative than I was in 2012. I wanna draw new things and improve in my art more. I also would like to learn how to speed draw as well. I know some really awesome speed artists and what they do is incredibly amazing! I’d love to get in to that some time!

On a side note, I decided to make this drawing of a cute house in the middle of a field. I would like to color this illustration in tomorrow afternoon and have it posted by tomorrow as well. I’ve been drawing a lot of landscapes and a bunch of houses lately, so why not draw some more? Anyway, once I can get completely settled over here I hope that I can get back in to the swing of updating the blog with more art. Moving sure is hard!

I’m trying to picture the sketch in full color and I’m getting excited because I can’t wait to start coloring it in :3. It was a shame that I couldn’t get around to coloring it tonight. I really want to get back in to creating more detailed art in the near future.

On a side note, I finally finished this piece! I made it way back in September and didn’t get around to finishing it up until tonight. I wanted to add a fancy background to it as I stated previously, but I guess I won’t have enough time to do so for a while :s.

As far as apartment hunting goes, we’re still looking xD. We are really pushing to have a place as soon as possible, as we only have a little over a month left to settle somewhere :s. As always, thanks for the prayers and good wishes. :3

I decided to draw a picture of some boba tea to show my love for the stuff xD. This was a quick sketch that I made early this morning, hence the slight sloppiness of the drawing :S. Either way, this drawing only maximized my endless want for chai iced tea xD.

On a side note, tomorrow is going to be a busy day. The boyfriend and I are going to view more apartments tomorrow in hopes of being able to find something that suits our needs. Since my boyfriend uses a wheelchair, we have had to take a lot of things in to consideration, such as the size of the front door, whether or not an apartment has steps and whether or not the apartment is spacious enough. Let’s hope we find a golden ticket tomorrow. Wish us luck! :3

Anyway, i’m liking the progress of this illustration so far and I can’t wait to finish it up eventually. I was drawing some animals for a recent gig that I landed and I sort of got the idea to draw a dragon fly out of it. In fact, i’m kind of in the mood to draw even more animals in the future as well. This will take a little more time to finish it up but it will get done :3.

On a side note, I’m still prepping for Halloween! That means I’ll be making some more Halloween inspired art as well as posts throughout the month of October! I’ve already started on some tutorials that I have posted on hubpages. Really have a lot in store for this month, it’s just finding the time between moving and work to do include them in this blog.

Anyway, I sketched out this jeweled necklace about an hour ago after waking up from my 3rd nap :s. It’s not that extravagant of a drawing but I wanted to post something for the first of September! To be honest, it sort of reminds of the Heart of The Ocean on Titanic (not really a big fan of that movie to be honest!) I’m still working on the art and cosplay galleries for the blog in the near future. I really can’t wait to have those up eventually. :3

Anyway, just a sketch today. I am planning to color this sometime later before bed probably. I want to make this drawing look fantasy inspired and have all kinds of glow flies in the picture or something. I would like it to take place in the night time as well to put emphasis on the glow/fire flies in the scene. I might make a daytime version of this illustration as well since this can kind of go in many different directions since it’s not in color yet.

Also if you haven’t noticed, the site is a little bit out of whack right now since I’m trying to change the layout some. I really don’t know what I want to do with the site’s appearance just yet but forgive me if there’s some things that look funny for right now.

Anyway, I decided I’d color her hair a light color (carrot top hair). I wanted to make her look somewhat cheery and bright looking I guess. I’m back at my place now (booo!) by the way.

I’m kind of pleased with how this illustration turned out, despite the fact that I didn’t have time to really add in a background :s. Ah well!
