So if you didn’t already know, I posted this tutorial a couple of days ago. I think I’m gonna try to post some more challenging tutorials in the future, I’m just not sure what x.x. Like I said, I’m feeling a little less inspired right now for some reason :s. I’ll try to come up with something tonight.

This drawing was based on a quick sketch that I made while in the hospital last week. I never got to finish the sketch there so when I took it back home,  I worked on it some more during the weekend. In this Illustration, it is simply of a cat girl (cat girls ftw!) standing in the high jungles. I drew in a bunch of jungle ropes to make it look kinds of crazy xD!

This took about 5 hours total to make. If I had more time to make my digital drawings, I could actually make something that looked pretty realistic xD. But I have school and work, since I love drawing so much, I try to find that time for it even when I know full well I don’t have the time :s. As artists, even if we’re doing a million and one things with our time always find time for what we love, which is art!

Just thought I’d throw in some more things as well. I just wanted to plug in some fantastic art blogs of those who follow I 365 Art. I put these in the Stuff I like category on this blog but in case you overlooked it, I’ll post them here! Jam of Jam’s Art Blog. She posts really awesome sketches of anime characters on her blog. Since I won’t be around until Saturday night, I decided to pre-draw today’s drawing and tomorrow’s drawing so I won’t have to worry them xD. I hope you guys like the art work I made for the two days and I will try to reply back to comments when I return on Saturday ^^.

This drawing was a really simple one that took very little effort. I drew it last night and since I was tired, I didn’t feel like taking the time to create something extravagant. It barely took me about an hour and half to draw and color this and the most difficult part about it was the hair. I was too tired to draw in each and every strand so I sort of just half assed it a little xD. Just wanted to get the job done.

Not sure where I got the inspiration from. I was looking through pictures of princesses and I liked how a girl was posing so I tried to make a drawing with a similar pose with her hair blowing in the wind. Like I said, not much thought compared to what I’m used to!

As a side note, I also made an easy tutorial of how to draw an ice cream cone. I’m working on a little goal for myself to start making more tutorials and posting them to the blog more often. Thanks everyone for taking the time to visit this blog everyday. I really enjoy doing what I do, which is drawing, and I’m very pleased to know that my art work is being discovered. I will continue to draw masterpieces for you all every single day! There are very few things that I’ve stuck to for the long term. I hope that I can keep this up for a long time.

About this drawing. I wanted to make something cute and girly and colorful! I also wanted to go for a Valentine’s day theme as well. It’s like one of those characters from those cute, girly RPG games xD. I haven’t given her a name but I just might in the future.

This took about 1 1/2 hours to draw and another hour and a half to color this in photoshop. I used a billion different layers just to achieve the appearance I was looking for. I wanted to make the art colorful and bright as you can see. I think I had the most trouble coloring her hair and her dress. The colors on both kept looking funky so I had to keep adjusting them xD.

Not really sure what gave me the inspiration to draw this considering I’ve been stressing a little so far this month. I guess I just wanted to break out of my shell and create something totally different! Hope you like it.

By the way, I just discovered this website called Wet Canvas last night. It’s really strange that I never heard of it considering I’ve been out and about in the art world for quite some time now. It is a really tight-nit community of artists with a passion for art and creativity. This place quickly drew my eye and I have begun mingling in the community already! There are a lot of active users in the forums and it just seems like a very hopeful community! ^^

In other news, I’m going to be updating the Tutorials section with new tutorials pretty soon. I’ve got a couple that are finished already, they just need to be posted. I hope my tutorials come in handy! They were a lot of fun to make and I hope that you guys enjoy them when they are up. I also hope to have some things to put in the resource section soon as well.

So about the art work…I really don’t know what inspired me to draw this actually. It was half past midnight when I started making this and all I could think about was getting some sleep x.x. I do know that the cat eyes in the sky came from petting my cat in hopes of staying awake x.x. Blah! I don’t have a lot to say about this besides that it was pretty much a random doodle that sort of turned in to this! xD

The little pond in front of the tree…I don’t know why I put that there. Whenever I think of big, ginormous trees I think of a water source nearby. Also, I thought it was a little empty with just the tree in the picture. One of my biggest pet peeves is a bare naked drawing. This explains why I rarely ever make drawings without backgrounds. It just gets on my nerves a little xD!

I think the one thing I can’t stand the most in life is wasting time. I always like to make the most of my time everyday and 9/10 times, you will never catch me staring mindlessly at a wall or something like that xD. I admit to taking a lot of breaks but I still try to be productive even during break time (If that makes any sense…Dx). I will make it an effort to wake up earlier tomorrow than I did today :).

I did manage to finish coloring this though, which is another accomplishment for me. What gave me the idea to create this drawing was when I was thinking of my great grandmother yesterday. In the times that she was alive, she spent the majority of her life as a voodoo priestess. She actually used to run a voodoo shop. Strange I know, but it’s true :o…

One thing that I’ve begun to notice since I began posting art on this blog is that my style seems to be evolving in to more of an anime-style. This isn’t done on purpose, I guess I’ve just had a lot of anime inspiration lately, oddly enough. I haven’t touched a single anime or video game in a few weeks so I have no idea xD.

In other news, I’m still developing this blog and its categories. I’ve added a Link section for anyone who is interested in linking back to I 365 Art. Anyone who is interested in purchasing art or buying a commission. This blog is still very new but I’m surprised that people are finding it already.
