My resolution for the new year is to be more creative than I was in 2012. I wanna draw new things and improve in my art more. I also would like to learn how to speed draw as well. I know some really awesome speed artists and what they do is incredibly amazing! I’d love to get in to that some time!

On a side note, I decided to make this drawing of a cute house in the middle of a field. I would like to color this illustration in tomorrow afternoon and have it posted by tomorrow as well. I’ve been drawing a lot of landscapes and a bunch of houses lately, so why not draw some more? Anyway, once I can get completely settled over here I hope that I can get back in to the swing of updating the blog with more art. Moving sure is hard!

I know it’s the polar opposite of what I wanted initially, in the end,

I succumbed to healthy food instead :s. I mean, it’s not like I pig out on junk food every day or anything like that. In fact, I’m more likely to eat healthy than not. But still, I sometimes have my moments where I just want to eat crap and get drunk for that day. I’ll save it for New Years I suppose xD!

What better way to describe today? A carrot. I drew this quick sketch of a carrot, since that was basically my biggest snack for the day. :3

Time is a tickin’! We still haven’t found an apartment yet, argh! We’re really trying to cut to the chase on this move and hurry up and find something already. We’ll be looking at a few other places this week, hopefully, one of them will be ours. xD

Also, I had this spinach pizza last night and my stomach has been aching all day. I’m very bloated, bubbly feeling and just plain unhappy about it :s. I hate feeling like crap, it just slows me down and ruins my whole day :s. Hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.

Since I have been somewhat more enthusiastic about my web comic, I felt it would be appropriate to make more posts based off of art from my web comic. For some reason, when I first started this blog I almost ashamed to post any of my work from DeadFingers, mainly because I wasn’t sure how it would reflect on my blog’s artwork. The art in my web comic is very drab and dark looking, whereas the art on I 365 Art is more bright and upbeat.

The way I see it now is that no matter how different the styles are on both sites, it is all my work and all of it deserves an equal opportunity for exposure :3. I’m sure that some of the visitors to this blog may actually like the dark, dreary style better than my bright/upbeat style and vice versa!

Anyway, if you were wondering about today’s blog drawing, it’s basically showing the main character recovering from an attack sometime earlier in the comic. As always, you can find the whole thing here, I update it 3 times a week. Also, it caters to a more mature audience, 17+.

Anyway, I think this is a pretty good thing for me to do I guess. It gives me a reason to try to work on my sketch art a little more, since I tend to spend more time and more effort in coloring drawings. I’ve always thought that my blank sketches were kind of hideous. I’m not sure if this is just me or not, but it’s the reason for why I like to throw in lots of color in my drawings.

My boyfriend thinks that my drawings have improved since I started this blog. I am super stoked that he feels that way, because now I know that my blogging hasn’t been a waste of time after all :3. I’ve learned so much within the past 10 months and I intend to learn a lot more along the way. An artist is never to old to learn new things ^^.

I remember that I used to let criticism get to me, and to a certain extent, I still kind of do. I made a post months ago about criticism that isn’t meant to be helpful, but is kind of meant to put a person down, like trashing on a person’s style for example. But as far as constructive criticism goes, I’m actually very open to that nowadays, more so than before :3.

I decided to draw a picture of some boba tea to show my love for the stuff xD. This was a quick sketch that I made early this morning, hence the slight sloppiness of the drawing :S. Either way, this drawing only maximized my endless want for chai iced tea xD.

On a side note, tomorrow is going to be a busy day. The boyfriend and I are going to view more apartments tomorrow in hopes of being able to find something that suits our needs. Since my boyfriend uses a wheelchair, we have had to take a lot of things in to consideration, such as the size of the front door, whether or not an apartment has steps and whether or not the apartment is spacious enough. Let’s hope we find a golden ticket tomorrow. Wish us luck! :3

I designed her last year but I’m just now getting around to remaking her appearance. I wasn’t quite happy with how she looked initially, she had blonde hair. I don’t have a lot of dark haired characters in my story so I decided to go with black hair in the end. I’m looking forward to Freya’s introduction to DeadFingers, as it will be a very interesting and intricate time in the story!

I do admit that I made her eyes a bit large. Once she appears in the story, I’ll most likely tone her eyes down some xD! I wanted to give her the “dear under headlights” or the “sad puppy dog” type of vibe. In short, I wanted to make her look somewhat innocent and youthful.

I am not in any way forcing anyone to believe in ghosts. I’m just telling a story that really happened to me and I have no way of explaining it. I’ve experienced a lot more where this comes from, but this is probably the scariest one of all the weird things I have experienced in my life. The reason why this experience was the most terrifying to me is because of the way that it happened and the level of aggression that was present. Well, here goes…

The following event took place just 2 years ago. was staying at my best friend’s mom’s girl friend’s house (that’s totally long and I know I probably could have shortened it some!) in Pasadena. We were attending a popular anime convention in town (Pacific Media Expo) and we didn’t want to have to pay for a hotel. My friend mentioned that a friend of her mom’s lived just a few blocks away from the convention and that she would let us stay there for a while. She was an emergency and live in nurse so she was hardly ever around. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t there that entire weekend!

So anyway, we arrived the house early that Friday and prepared to stay there the whole weekend. We enjoyed our first day at the con and everything was going great until nightfall. Around 11 or so, we left the convention and headed back to her mom’s friend’s place to get some sleep.My friend and I were cosplaying that day and we were covered in paint from head to toe pretty much xD! The place had 2 bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. This was very convenient. I chose to shower in the bathroom downstairs (I wish I didn’t!) and my friend went upstairs and in to that bathroom.

As I was in the shower, I heard a very aggressive and heavy knock on the bathroom door. I called out for my friend and she didn’t respond. I got out of the shower, wrapped a towel around me and opened the door. To my surprise, no one was there. I figured it was my friend and that she was probably just messing around. So I jumped back in the shower, without a further question in my mind.

After I finished up with my shower, I went upstairs to see if my friend was finished showering. She had a lot more body paint on her body than I did so it was no surprise to me that she was still showering! I waited for her in the living room and about 10 minutes later, she was out. She came in to the living room and we began to have just a normal conversation. I can’t quite remember what we were talking about at the time, but I do know that we did mention what we were gonna do the next day.

Not really thinking much about, I went ahead and asked her if she knocked on my bathroom door while I was in the shower. She had this weird look on her face, like a really bewildered look. She responded with a no. I fell super silent for a moment and then she proceeded to ask why I asked that question. All I could do was ask if she was sure that she didn’t knock on my door. Then she mentioned hearing me talk to someone while she was in the shower upstairs.

At this point, we were both freaking out xD. She thought I was kidding and that I was trying to scare her, but I kept telling her that I wasn’t. She said she never came back downstairs and went straight to the shower upstairs, which I saw her do. After the initial shock of the door knocking event, we tried to find a logical explanation for the knock. We considered the possibility that it could have been the neighbors, but this was a free standing house, there were no neighbors connected to the house. Someone had to have physically knocked on the door. I saw the door move as if a physical someone was knocking on it for crying out loud xD! I mean, it sounded like a man’s fists, knocking at the bathroom door, almost angrily!

For the duration of the convention, we stayed far, far away from the downstairs bathroom and bedroom. We kept hearing weird noises down there from above as well while we were over there. Okay, so you don’t have to believe my story, but all I can say is that this really did happen and to this day, me and her still don’t have an explanation for why it happened. I wanted to ask the owner of the house if there were ghosts in the home when she came back that Sunday, but I was too afraid to because I didn’t want to seem crazy I guess :s.

The one great thing about the cold is that I find it easier to remedy than the heat. I can always lay underneath a warm blanket or turn on the heat when it’s cold and that will usually do the trick. But we’ve had the air conditioner blasting during the summer time and it still felt like the sun was melting us.

Anyway, I made this quick drawing of a boiling cauldron today. I didn’t have time to color it or anything, I just drew it and posted it as is xD. This week is certainly not looking up for me so far. :S Just so busy. xD

I only had time to make a sketch obviously since I had some things to do this weekend. Still hunting for an apartment with my boyfriend, we have about 9 weeks left to find something to move in to. All we’ve been able to find were studios, I’m not a big fan of studio apartments, as they are just not spacious enough :s. We’re looking for at least a 1 bedroom. Every time we find one, it’s always too far away. It’s really getting annoying now x.x…

Well it’s Saturday night, so I think instead of spending the night on my comp, i’m gonna watch t.v. for once. I rarely ever turn on the television to be honest. :s
