I thought i’d revisit some old drawings and see what they looked like with different colors. They do this sort of thing a lot in old school RPGs xD. Back when I wanted to make my own game, I used to draw a bunch of battle monsters and simply change the RGB to make different alterations of basically the same monster. So today’s art kind of took me back to older times :p.

So of course, I got on my computer and began drawing up the concept from my dream. The thing that stood out to me the most in the dream was the little wings on the heel of the stilletos. They had little gems lodged at the bottom of the wing. This was a lot of fun to make because it was both girly and thought invoking :3.

In other news, I am getting ready for finals soon. I’m excited because summer is nearing, but I’m also worried because I wanna get good grades xD.

This is a quick sketch I made while I was out at the card show last week. So I drew the concept for this lamp in a moving car driving on a bumpy road x.x. I think drawing in a car is the hardest thing to do. But I was determined to get something done right then and there and I succeeded (somehow).

Once I get back to my house and to a computer, I’m gonna paint this and post it to the blog. Keep an eye out for the completed version of this :3.

Before I go in to the details of this drawing in today’s post, I just wanna start out by saying Happy Valentine’s day! I hope those of you celebrating it really enjoy your day today :D! Of course, those of us who go to school and people who work most likely see this as just another day :S.

Also, I just wanted to announce that I have posted another drawing video! I really like how the first few turned out, and I think it’s just a lot of fun xD. You can find it over at Youtube, along with some of my other art work videos. There’s not many right now but I think I’m gonna start making these videos on a regular basis. I’ll throw in some tutorial videos too in the future ^^.

So on to the drawing! I was watching some National Geographic episodes and I saw one about dolphins, you can only imagine what happened next xD. I just started drawing and here is what I came up with. For some odd reason, I like how coral looks underwater. Every time I draw an underwater scene, there has to be some coral or other ocean life in the drawing,  heeheehee!

The amount of time it took me to draw and color this in Photoshop was about 2 hours tops. I wasn’t keeping track but two shows ended by the time I was finished with it :p.

On a side note, today has been really frustrating so far, so I’m gonna vent through this blog >_<. Okay so there’s good news and bad news. The good news is the amount of visitors to i 365 art within the first month has reached nearly 800 in this month alone. This is really awesome! I’m super happy that my art work is getting out there and people are seeing it ^^.

Now, for the bad news…It’s very possible that in the near future, I will be forced to change hosts due to the increasing traffic the blog has received. I am a little frustrated about this because, well frankly,  I don’t feel like transferring/upgrading xD!

I didn’t think the blog was gonna see this many visitors so soon, so this means I will soon be forced to fork out like $80+ every 2 years for a dedicated host :s. Whatever, I’ll live I guess x.x. This means that the site will be down for about 24 hours next month or in march while I transfer all of the art work and content over to the new host. I should be celebrating but…meh.

Anyway, be sure to check back tomorrow for another new drawing :3.

Anyway,I’m pretty sure the reason behind this drawing was because I was tired and the t.v. was on at the time. It only took about an hour and half to do this, I really wanted to get some sleep xD. One of these days, I’m gonna just draw a horizontal line and call it a day.

Also, I’ve been thinking some lately…I feel like maybe I should branch out and try other mediums. I feel like I’ve been using photoshop a lot and I want to try something a little more traditional. I’m not too good with paints from what I’ve experienced, but I did used to make some  pretty interesting things with pastels and colored pencils combined in the past. What do you think?

I think the main reason for why I use photoshop so much is because it’s so convenient x.x. I don’t have to buy special art supplies or anything. That and I just like it. I don’t know xD.

Since I won’t be around until Saturday night, I decided to pre-draw today’s drawing and tomorrow’s drawing so I won’t have to worry them xD. I hope you guys like the art work I made for the two days and I will try to reply back to comments when I return on Saturday ^^.

This drawing was a really simple one that took very little effort. I drew it last night and since I was tired, I didn’t feel like taking the time to create something extravagant. It barely took me about an hour and half to draw and color this and the most difficult part about it was the hair. I was too tired to draw in each and every strand so I sort of just half assed it a little xD. Just wanted to get the job done.

Not sure where I got the inspiration from. I was looking through pictures of princesses and I liked how a girl was posing so I tried to make a drawing with a similar pose with her hair blowing in the wind. Like I said, not much thought compared to what I’m used to!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to visit this blog everyday. I really enjoy doing what I do, which is drawing, and I’m very pleased to know that my art work is being discovered. I will continue to draw masterpieces for you all every single day! There are very few things that I’ve stuck to for the long term. I hope that I can keep this up for a long time.

About this drawing. I wanted to make something cute and girly and colorful! I also wanted to go for a Valentine’s day theme as well. It’s like one of those characters from those cute, girly RPG games xD. I haven’t given her a name but I just might in the future.

This took about 1 1/2 hours to draw and another hour and a half to color this in photoshop. I used a billion different layers just to achieve the appearance I was looking for. I wanted to make the art colorful and bright as you can see. I think I had the most trouble coloring her hair and her dress. The colors on both kept looking funky so I had to keep adjusting them xD.

Not really sure what gave me the inspiration to draw this considering I’ve been stressing a little so far this month. I guess I just wanted to break out of my shell and create something totally different! Hope you like it.

By the way, I just discovered this website called Wet Canvas last night. It’s really strange that I never heard of it considering I’ve been out and about in the art world for quite some time now. It is a really tight-nit community of artists with a passion for art and creativity. This place quickly drew my eye and I have begun mingling in the community already! There are a lot of active users in the forums and it just seems like a very hopeful community! ^^

Okay…So these two characters are made up by myself, but they already existed prior to this post xD. Since I’m on the subject, I might as well explain a little bit about my webcomics while I’m at it. These two characters were originally created for my first DD webcomic known as The Faction, but were later migrated over to my more recent story known as DeadFingers.

I won’t really say much more about this drawing due to the fear revealing some spoilers, but these two characters are tied together somehow (Some fans even speculate that the two characters in the story may even be related.) First day of February! This blog has been around for almost 2 weeks now which is really great! I feel like this blog has gotten a great start so far in my opinion. I’m looking forward to posting some Valentine’s day themed artwork.

I don’t really have a lot to say today since I’m a little tired, but I thought I’d plug in some of my friends in today’s post. A couple of my friends in the webcomic world have helped me out a huge deal and given me a push throughout the years so I thought I’d toss some support and goodness their way :D!

Denise AKA Darwin is a really dedicated artist who has been sharing her work for years on a webcomics community called Drunkduck. She recently branched out and began hosting The Only Half Saga on her own. This is a webcomic I really enjoyed reading on Drunkduck (I just figured out that she hosts it somewhere else, so that means I have a lot of catching up to do!)

Another person I’d like to plug in to this post is a good friend  who guys by the screen name of Anubis. He specializes is in 3D modeling and even has a completely 3D webcomic known as BloodBound. It’s rated M just so you know so be sure that you are “mature” enough to read/enjoy it!

About the drawing…I wanted to make something tropical and jungle-like today. If you’ve ever seen the movie Fern Gully, that is where I got my primary inspirations from to make this xD. That movie is terribly underrated and needs some love! In the drawing, there is a waterfall in the background as well. This was a pain in the butt to make if you haven’t noticed. That waterfall kicked my ass! xD
