Here is a not so new sketch I have made. His name is Milek and he is an original character from my graphic novel DeadFingers. I promised to color it last month but I never got around to doing so. I am really quite pleased with how this sketch turned out and would like to get to coloring it sometime in the near future.

Okay, now let me explain in full detail why I have been absent as of late. I have recently been testing Final Fantasy 14 in closed beta and now, I am just anticipating the release of the game, which will be later this month. I have no idea how I will find the time to play it as well as update this blog more often, but I suppose I will find a way!

I’ve said this before and I will say it again. 24 hours is just not enough time in a single day. Through drawing things for fun, working on illustrations, writing my comic and leisure, I don’t have enough time to do it all. It’s really frustrating. And I know it only takes about 20 minutes to write a blog post on I 365 Art, but I guess I just need to be more disciplined about updating the blog I suppose.

Anyway, I hope you all like this sketch, maybe sometime this week I will have the in color version up soon! Chao!

Future-like desert scene

As you guys might have seen already, this is the colored version of the previous drawing I posted up a couple days ago. I added color as well as some mountains off in the distance in this version, I thought the earlier sketch was a little bland.

And of course I included bold/rich colors as well. I really enjoyed creating the clothing for Orn in this image, I just went with whatever I thought liked nice for her outfit. Since she’s a rogue, I didn’t want to give her too heavy of clothing and I wanted it to be tight fitting (for convenience).

I will be posting 4-5 days in a row for the next few days and will try to have a line up of art ready next week for when I’m at Anime Expo as well. I’ve suddenly gotten a lot of inspiration for art lately and I’d like to post everything i’ve been making to the blog as often as possible. For now, toodles!

The good folks over at Indie Game HQ decided to write an article about our game Tube Shoot. This was very exciting and encouraging to the team and it has really helped to get the word out about our project. I know that the majority of you guys who visit my site are normally not hardcore gamers or anything, but this is a pretty casual game that you might have fun playing on your smartphone!

So guys, please do tell your friends, family, neighbors, classmates, whoever about Tube Shoot, it would be awesome for this game to come to life! I am the background designer of Tube Shoot so this means a lot to me to see good people spreading the word about this project! 😀

Anyway, I planned on posting this on February 1st but I got caught up in a bunch of different things/projects so I am posting it today. It’s not colored yet but I do plan on coloring it sometime this week (basically when time permits it!) I wanted the flower and the girl to blend in sort of in this picture. I can’t quite explain where I got the concept from. As always, I try to be original.

I really would like to focus on my blog more these days but now that I am away from home and have many more responsibilities now (rent, bills, work etc.) my blog hasn’t been my top priority for a while…I’m trying to think of ways to balance my blog with my crazy work life xD. I have soooo much I wanna do with this blog in the future, aside from just posting art. I want to start selling some of my artwork very soon. :3

My resolution for the new year is to be more creative than I was in 2012. I wanna draw new things and improve in my art more. I also would like to learn how to speed draw as well. I know some really awesome speed artists and what they do is incredibly amazing! I’d love to get in to that some time!

On a side note, I decided to make this drawing of a cute house in the middle of a field. I would like to color this illustration in tomorrow afternoon and have it posted by tomorrow as well. I’ve been drawing a lot of landscapes and a bunch of houses lately, so why not draw some more? Anyway, once I can get completely settled over here I hope that I can get back in to the swing of updating the blog with more art. Moving sure is hard!

I’m sure this is done by A LOT of artists, probably every artist out there has done this at some point in their lives. But I’m not normally the type to recycle my own work like that I guess xD. I think I just got tired of posting boring art with no backgrounds in them. Heck, at one point, I only had time to post non detailed digital drawings with blank/white backgrounds. It started to get on my nerves I guess…

Anyway, I had a weird dream last night that kind of has a relation to the urban scenery behind the fire hydrant. I’ll probably write about my dream in tomorrow’s post. I promise I won’t forget! It was pretty vivid :3.

On a side note, I finally finished this piece! I made it way back in September and didn’t get around to finishing it up until tonight. I wanted to add a fancy background to it as I stated previously, but I guess I won’t have enough time to do so for a while :s.
