So I lost this new post some how! Very crazy I know! Anyway, I’m putting the latest post back up as well as adding a new one in later today.

So on to what happened. My server had a HUGE fart a couple of days ago and knocked me offline for half a day, unbeknownst to me. It was extremely grueling to get it back up and running to say the least!

So anyway, I think I probably lost this post in the process. Ah well :s. Things happen

Day #238 Withered Tree Drawing

Lately I have been making various drawings related to nature and general images of life. I haven’t gotten around to posting them up to the blog yet but in due time, I will be posting them here some time.

Today’s post won’t be very long, it will be just a general art post. Besides the fact that I have been busy this month so far, I am currently taking care of a roach problem (not a very big one but it’s there xD! I’ve been looking up some roach bait recipes and I think I found one that i’d like to stick with. It consists of peach flavored oatmeal and boric acid. It seems to be working :3.

I’ve never had a roach problem before so this is kind of new to me. Thankfully, I’m taking care of it before it gets out of control (which I don’t think it will.) Other than that, I’m just looking forward to the weekend again right now :3.

Day #237 Fire Hydrant on the side walk

Lately, I have been making a habit of taking simple, single object drawings and expanding on them more, like by drawing in a background at the last minute or throwing in more little elements here and there. A good example of this is the drawing in today’s post as well as the one I posted last week with the glowing mushroom in the forest. I guess there’s nothing wrong at all with adding more to an existing piece.

I’m sure this is done by A LOT of artists, probably every artist out there has done this at some point in their lives. But I’m not normally the type to recycle my own work like that I guess xD. I think I just got tired of posting boring art with no backgrounds in them. Heck, at one point, I only had time to post non detailed digital drawings with blank/white backgrounds. It started to get on my nerves I guess…

Anyway, I had a weird dream last night that kind of has a relation to the urban scenery behind the fire hydrant. I’ll probably write about my dream in tomorrow’s post. I promise I won’t forget! It was pretty vivid :3.

Day #232 Wooden Table

Last night was a little rough and I didn’t get a chance to make anything too detailed today. I’ll probably talk about the incident that happened last night in another post. It’s too fresh on my mind to share on this blog :s. That and it just makes me kind of angry just thinking about it x.x…

Anyway, I’m still working on some more simple drawing tutorials to provide on the blog freely. I still have a few that I need to add to the resources page once I get around to doing so. Sorry that this post had to be so short. I’ll try to have something more interesting up on the blog tomorrow besides just this table sketch. :]

Day #231 Mushroom Glow Forest

So i’ve been at my new apartment for a couple days now and I think i’m finally beginning to settle in good today. I am finally starting to pump out more art and i’m getting back in to a normal drawing schedule again :3.

Today’s piece is probably one of the first illustrations that I actually put some real time and effort in to in a long while. I was writing a tutorial for drawing a mushroom and I decided to expand the drawing a bit and add a night forest in the background. In the illustration, I also added little glow bug-like creatures around the mushroom to give it a mystical look.

Although the drawing itself is somewhat simple, I am pretty happy with it overall :3! I’m glad that I can start working on things again at least. 🙂

Day #227 Squirrel with a nut

Sorry that i’ve been completely MIA for the past few days. Still apartment hunting and was preparing for the elections. I wasn’t that psyched about the elections until the very end. It hit me that voting is a very important decision to make as an American. That no matter who won in the end, your single vote is a contribution to what you believe in!

Anyway, i’m trying to get back in to the daily drawing pattern again. I probably won’t be able to until we find a place to live at :s. I can’t wait for this tiresome hunt for an apartment/duplex to end! We filled out more applications and we’re just waiting to hear back from some of the places soon.

Today’s drawing is of a cartoon squirrel holding on to an acorn :3. I hope you guys like it!

Day #226 Ballet Tutu Drawing

I made a very fun tutorial on ballerina tutu drawing that I posted up on hubpages today and it was probably one of the more enjoyable tutorials I have made in a while :3. It may be only a simple tutu but it’s fun and frilly and best of all, it’s pinkish-purplish (something like that xD).

Going to keep this post short. I will be very busy for the duration of this month, as we are still looking for an apartment to live it. We have like a billion others to look at this month, hopefully one will be the golden ticket!

Day #225 November 1st (colored goblet illustration)

Halloween went be so fast! It’s ridiculous. At least I can say that I made the best of Halloween while it lasted. We went to HHN and had a blast. It was so much better this year than last. But now, the eternal party is over and November is here. Not that I dislike the month, but that it’s not as exciting as October. Just my opinion.

On a side note, I finally finished this piece! I made it way back in September and didn’t get around to finishing it up until tonight. I wanted to add a fancy background to it as I stated previously, but I guess I won’t have enough time to do so for a while :s.

As far as apartment hunting goes, we’re still looking xD. We are really pushing to have a place as soon as possible, as we only have a little over a month left to settle somewhere :s. As always, thanks for the prayers and good wishes. :3

Day #224 Happy Halloween!

So in case I don’t post anything tomorrow, then let me say it now: Happy Halloween I 365 Art Followers! Tomorrow is the day for which I have waited all year for! So you best believe that I will be making the most of Halloween this year! Hell, I might have so much fun, that I may forget to even update this blog tomorrow. That’s how much All Hallow’s Evening means to me :3! May your days be filled with creation and inspiration tomorrow.

Why not decorate your home with some Halloween inspired art this year? All throughout October, I have written several halloween art tutorial guides. Day #220 A pair of glasses

Tomorrow is another big day! My boyfriend and I may have potentially found a place to stay at finally! He went up to visit the place, took photos, got applications and all of that good stuff. It’s a 1 bedroom duplex with all utilities included in a very nice neighborhood (very awesome!). The rent is well within our range and our income combined is more than enough to cover rent each month (we wanted to have some extra play money every month after rent and bills! haha! xD) The owner seems to want to rent it out to us which is great! We will be going back there again tomorrow and will also be checking out a few other places as well.

Anyway, I drew a pair of glasses for a tutorial on hubpages (yeah, I’ve been having a blast on hubpages these days!) It’s just a pair of little red glasses! I love glasses, even though I don’t require them xD! I actually doodled a whole bunch of things when I made this drawing, I will slowly be adding these to the blog and turning them in to tutorials in the near future as well :3. Welp, I will be keeping this post kind of short, gonna hit the shower!
