The real reason why I drew this rubber ducky was mainly because I created a tutorial based around it the other day. Today, I decided to fill in the background with some bath tub water and a peachy wall behind the ducky. I didn’t want this illustration to go to waste so I decided to add to it instead. Which gives me a great idea for future sketches I make.

In other news, Halloween is just in a couple days and we’re all pumped and getting prepared to celebrate over here. Going to spend Halloween night at Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. Initially, I was thinking of going to a big Halloween party in West Hollywood this year, but later I decided that it might be better spent with friends and family instead. The West Hollywood thing will probably have a lot of drunks and crazy folks there, which I don’t really want to surround myself with anyway :s.

All I did was add a wooden table and a dark background to the original drawing. I wasn’t sitting well with just a blank background xD, heheh! I decided that I wanted to turn a simple painting of a tomato in to something more! No really, I actually did this because I didn’t have time to work on some of my bigger illustrations :s. Adding a the round table and black background barely took like 15 minutes xD!

Not sure if I mentioned this yet or not, but I have a new tutorial up! It is based off of the genie lamp sketch  I made a while back. I found some time a few days ago to finally begin painting it, so I ended up making a step by step tutorial around it :3. Be sure to check that out guys if that’s something you’re interested! It could have to do with the notion that Monday is such a horrible day because it’s the beginning of a new week. But I would think that this would be great! The start of a new week and all. But instead, something always goes wrong on this day x.x. I end up not getting my homework done on time or I end up not getting enough sleep and I feel like a zombie all day.

Anyway, since I had like no time yesterday, I decided that I would plug in my latest tutorial drawing on the blog today. Yes, another eye! But this time, I changed up the directions a lot more. I tried to make the drawing process a little more clear. I had a lot of fun writing the steps for painting the eye. Hope this is enjoyable to someone.

Also, I updated the prints page of the site. I had gotten a few requests for specific drawings to be on the print page so I decided to add them :). Be sure to check that out! Enjoy the rest of your day!

I’m also thinking of creating a tutorial for detailing a face. I think that thing that looks kind of awkward because the hair is super detailed but the face isn’t. The face is from a previous tutorial I made early this week, so that kind of explains why the hair and face look totally different from one another. As always, I usually never spend any more than 30 minutes to an hour on any of my tutorials since I have school and other boring real world things that need to get done x.x. As much as I’d like for it to be, the I 365 art blog is not my #1 priority at the moment.

Maybe after I graduate from college, I can sink in some real woman hours on this thing. See what all I can come up with once I had the time. Anyway, I have a ton of crap to get done today. Hopefully I can rest a little this weekend. I’ve been living on a few hours of sleep a day this entire week x.x.
