So yeah, I finally got around to coloring the Jake sketch I made several days back. I tried to get his stripes and colors as accurately as possible with this one. Since I couldn’t get him to stay in one area for very long (he got distracted by a spider!) I had to use a photo I had taken of him a while back.

He’s a full grown cat, he’s just built small. He was the small one of the litter, or so I was told xD. Jake is a really sweet, calm natured cat who likes to play. He’s friendly to pretty much every body xD. He’s super curious and I always wants to know ‘what’s up?’ xD.

The photo above is the one I used to reference his colors off of by the way.

My cat Jake was staring at a bug on the carpet for a long time so I decided to take the time to draw him real quick xD. He’s such a sweet cat. He never harms his prey, he just stares it down for like an hour until it walks away. He never has the heart to attack a bug.

Jake doesn’t attempt to get in her way and when he does by accident, he ends up treating her like a queen until he can get away xD. Poor Jake T~T. She does love Jake a lot, she can just be very intimidating at times. Just try not to get on her bad side xD.

Other than the post today, I’m gonna start preparing for the first day of class tomorrow. I hope everything goes well tomorrow!

In case you are wonder about the drawing, it is of my cat Jake in anthro form. This is how I would picture Jake if he could walk on his hind legs and wear clothes. He’s a very rambunctious little thing who is always finding a way to get in to my things. Lately, he’s been getting in to my closet (I guess he can open doors now!) and playing with my things while I’m asleep!

While I was making this drawing, I put toys and other little gadgets that little kids like to play with. As you can see, he is playing with a slinky. I tried showing this drawing to my cat last night and he just rolled over and went to sleep. He just didn’t give a dang xD. Cats don’t seem to have much of an appreciation for art I guess :s.

Jake might not care but I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I think I’ll make a drawing of my other cat too, I’m just trying to imagine how I would envision her as an anthro. She’s sort of the dominant one of the two so I’ll probably make something along those lines.
