I’m still sort of thinking along the lines of ‘desert’ these days when I make my drawings everyday now. The weather over here in California has been really nice lately so that could be one reason to explain the desert themed illustrations lately.
There’s just something about cactus blossoms that I like. While I was growing up, my mom used to have a bunch of cacti on the front porch. There were a few in particular that had begun to grow these little flower buds on them. And when the buds would bloom, they would transform in to beautiful blossoms. This was fascinating to me for some reason, no idea. But before then, I had no idea that flowers could grow on a cactus. I laugh about my naivete in the whole situation now xD.
Anyway, This was another one of my lazy drawings/paintings. At first, I was going to draw an all out cactus but at the last minute, I just decided to draw the blossoms. In total, I spent about 1 1/2 hours on this.

Today I’m hoping to be able to give myself a little break. This was probably one of the best and worst weeks I’ve ever had in my life.
