Here is a character I created as part of my web series. In fact, all of the work I drew over the weekend is linked to my web series. I’m too busy posting comic strips on there to upload them on that site so I decided to plug them here instead. In fact, I have a whole line up i’m working on right now. I’m planning to draw separate portraits of all of the characters that appear over at my web comic. This is definitely going to keep me busy over the next weekend, but it’s great to finally be doing something outside of work these days.

Also, I just through i’d mention that I have been playing video games on my ps3 more often in my spare time (I should be working on the blog more, I know.) I have recently become addicted to the Persona/shin megami tensei games by Atlus. For those of you familiar with the game franchise, I am having a blast playing these games! I LOVE Jrpgs! I’ve recently purchased the games persona 2, 3 and 4 as well as shin megami tensei: digital devil saga 1, 2 and devil summoner 1. When I get paid next, I want to buy devil summoner 2 as well as nocturne.

Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to these days. Expect some more art this week :3.

As you can see, today’s drawing is that of a breakfast omelette. This is because I am working on different objects to add to the shop, a breakfast theme was the first category I thought of at the time. xD No idea why. Once I finish with the breakfast department, I will move over to another theme (fantasy objects hopefully!)

So on to what happened. My server had a HUGE fart a couple of days ago and knocked me offline for half a day, unbeknownst to me. It was extremely grueling to get it back up and running to say the least!

As I stated months ago, I am starting to make art work that is much brighter than my usual work (like the stuff in my web comic.) I almost could imagine a family of bears or a family of raccoon living in a house like this. Now this makes me want to draw an animal family all of a sudden. We’ll see what I come up with tomorrow. xD

I remember mentioning on here that I am somewhat of a shy person. Ironically though, I am a cosplay model. I get in front of cameras all the time, yet I’m still super shy. As you may know, I have also mentioned that I am very shy about talking about my cosplay subculture here on the blog, but this year, I think it’s time that I break out of my shell!

Anyway, I think cosplaying is still a form of art for me, especially since it does involve drawing designs, cutting out and sewing patterns by hand. The costume I am wearing in this post is for the character Morrigan from the game Dragon Age Origins. I decided to go ahead and sew this costume because of the intricate designs on it. I do love a challenge I must say :3. I created pretty much the entire thing by hand, including most of the jewelry as well. The only things that I didn’t make were the boots and black leggings.

This photo was taken this past weekend during Anime Los Angeles by the awesome Darryl Pamplin. Hopefully i’ll gain enough courage to post up more cosplay related stuff here on the blog in the near future. 🙂

Anyway, a good friend as well as loyal DF fan who goes by the name of Luccia actually created this a few days ago. I was so consumed by work that I hadn’t discovered it until yesterday x.x. You can find the fan art either at her page or mine :3.

On a side note, I wanna get back in to making some more tutorials soon. I had a goal of making like 100 or so by the end of the year…I only made 44 :S. Well, hopefully by next year, I’ll have more time for the blog and for my tutorials :3.

This illustration was a cover page for my web comic DeadFingers. I tried to make an illustration that was both beautiful and catastrophic in appearance, since this portion of the story was to have many tragedies take place. I kind of think that I made it look a little more old school than my usual art, as it was inked prior to coloring.

On a side note, I will be adding more of my tutorials from hubpages soon, I haven’t updated my resources page in a while and there are a lot of tutorials I would like to throw up there soon.

Today’s post won’t be very long, it will be just a general art post. Besides the fact that I have been busy this month so far, I am currently taking care of a roach problem (not a very big one but it’s there xD! I’ve been looking up some roach bait recipes and I think I found one that i’d like to stick with. It consists of peach flavored oatmeal and boric acid. It seems to be working :3.

I’ve never had a roach problem before so this is kind of new to me. Thankfully, I’m taking care of it before it gets out of control (which I don’t think it will.) Other than that, I’m just looking forward to the weekend again right now :3.

Even though I’m going to be busy throughout the entire month, I still want to find some time to work on my comic as well as this blog. Although work is very important to me, so is my sanity and what I stand for xD. I love posting things on I 365 Art and even though I can’t really update as often as i’d like, It’s still being developed everyday and I am constantly thinking of new things to add all the time :3.

Here is an older drawing that I created a while back, and I haven’t posted it to the blog yet. I actually have quite a few drawings that i’d like to post to this blog, new and old, but especially some of the older stuff I have made. This is yet another piece inspired by some characters in my web series DeadFingers. The characters Orn and Wendy (for anyone who has been following, you have probably already seen this image months ago :3.)

I’m sure this is done by A LOT of artists, probably every artist out there has done this at some point in their lives. But I’m not normally the type to recycle my own work like that I guess xD. I think I just got tired of posting boring art with no backgrounds in them. Heck, at one point, I only had time to post non detailed digital drawings with blank/white backgrounds. It started to get on my nerves I guess…

Anyway, I had a weird dream last night that kind of has a relation to the urban scenery behind the fire hydrant. I’ll probably write about my dream in tomorrow’s post. I promise I won’t forget! It was pretty vivid :3.
