Since I do draw everyday anyway, I thought I’d plug in my new art tutorial to the blog instead on how to draw a dagger in Photoshop. It’s not really anything special but I’m starting off doing easy art tutorials for now. I’ll probably start taking requests eventually as well since a few people expressed their liking to my tutorials, which is awesome!

Also I forgot to mention something about the tutorials. They are made for Photoshop but they can also be done without Photoshop as well. I wanted to make them paper and pencil compatible as well since I don’t like to limit people. I think sometime in the future, I’ll start to post up more difficult art tutorials. I might even include a star system on the outside of the tutorial to let people know the difficulty of any given tutorials. Just a thought!

Once again, you can find the latest tutorials by visiting the tutorials page. Will be back tomorrow with a new drawing!

The weather over here in California has been really nice lately so that could be one reason to explain the desert themed illustrations lately.

There’s just something about cactus blossoms that I like. While I was growing up, my mom used to have a bunch of cacti on the front porch. There were a few in particular that had begun to grow these little flower buds on them. And when the buds would bloom, they would transform in to beautiful blossoms. This was fascinating to me for some reason, no idea. But before then, I had no idea that flowers could grow on a cactus. I laugh about my naivete in the whole situation now xD.

Anyway, This was another one of my lazy drawings/paintings. At first, I was going to draw an all out cactus but at the last minute, I just decided to draw the blossoms. In total, I spent about 1 1/2 hours on this.

As always, I am constantly updating the resources page of the blog with new tutorials. Feel free to mozy on over there to see some new art and content ^^.

Today I’m hoping to be able to give myself a little break. This was probably one of the best and worst weeks I’ve ever had in my life.
