Going to hit up an all you can eat Korean BBQ restaurant tonight with my boyfriend. I haven’t had any K BBQ in at least a year, it’s a shame. Mainly because it’s usually very expensive (especially all you can eat!)

Today, all I gave myself time to draw were these slabs of Korean BBQ xD. It literally took like 10 minutes to draw this since it’s so small. I like the smoke effect that I was able to create digitally with Photoshop. Just a year ago, I wouldn’t have known how to make something even as simple as that xD.

On a side not, I got invited to do a renaissance fair photoshoot with my girls next month. At this time, I don’t have any renaissance cosplays in my closet, so i’m planning on sewing my own from scratch (probably be a wench or a peasant or something since they were most common back in those days!) I’ve never been to a renaissance fair before and i’m pretty darn excited about it.

Well, I’m logging off for today. I hope you guys like today’s blog art. I’m gonna try to take things easy tonight and try not to worry so much about stuff going on in my life :3.

So yeah, I finally got around to coloring the Jake sketch I made several days back. I tried to get his stripes and colors as accurately as possible with this one. Since I couldn’t get him to stay in one area for very long (he got distracted by a spider!) I had to use a photo I had taken of him a while back.

He’s a full grown cat, he’s just built small. He was the small one of the litter, or so I was told xD. Jake is a really sweet, calm natured cat who likes to play. He’s friendly to pretty much every body xD. He’s super curious and I always wants to know ‘what’s up?’ xD.

The photo above is the one I used to reference his colors off of by the way.

I’ve been talking with my boyfriend today about the possibility of me discontinuing my commissions service. I’ve had very little time for myself since I started it and it’s just beginning to take a serious toll on me. I thought it would have been a good idea because I’m a college student always in need of extra money for classes and books. But I kind of want my life back I guess.

I will continue to do drawing commissions until I can find another means for paying my bills and college tuition. The job market is a little busted over here, but I am willing to work almost any job right now xD.

In the midst of my stomach problems however, I managed to come up with my latest masterpiece which is that of some random grasslands. I missed drawing backgrounds and landscapes :3. I think aside from beaches, grasslands are some of my most favorite things to draw. I can always imaging myself sleeping in the grass (I hope there aren’t any tics in the grass!)

I also managed to color this in photoshop today. I’m tired of posting just sketches and stuff :s. I’m really happy I got to post an actual completed picture for once :3. Anyway, i’m gonna stock up on some water in hopes that my stomach problems will clear up soon.

My sketch of a scepter. I doodled this early today, basically a while after I woke up. My boyfriend called me in the morning since he was leaving for Korea this week. He left around 10:30 today for a 14-16 hour flight. He’ll be back by next Monday.

I’ve been sleeping earlier and earlier these days…Ever since the casino visit, I have been falling asleep at normal hours (which is a good thing xD).

I drew a picture of a bunch of tulips standing up in the sun filled grass. I don’t know what it is, but something about tulips fascinate me. It might be because of the way they open up. Not sure xD! I was going to draw some sunflowers and dandelions in the picture as well but when I tried to, they just didn’t fit right I guess :x.

This took a little over an hour to make. This includes the drawing process and the digital painting in Photoshop. Other than that, have a happy first day of May everyone! 😀

Anyway, I have been finding myself having to have to draw a lot of anime lately. I don’t normally draw anime characters often. I usually like to blend anime with western style in my art work  :3. Kinda like how the Final Fantasy characters are drawn. Today, I decided to draw just straight anime! I don’t think I’m that good at drawing just straight anime characters but practice makes improvement I suppose.

I had to draw an anime character for a customer a few days ago which was fun. I also drew another anime character for part of my boyfriend’s final project. I’m normally not accustomed to drawing anime that often but I’ll do it if I have to. My anime characters may have a bit of a ‘Western twang’ to them though :p.

Now that i’m back in to the swing of my busy life, I have a ton of catching up to do on this blog xD. Bummer! Thankfully, my UTI is pretty much gone ^^! I’ll have to not drink so much soda for a while x.x.

Today, I drew up this design of a gown. I was thinking of making a pretty gown all day Friday, and it HAD to be blue. A deep blue. There’s just something about the color blue on a fancy gown :S.

This design concept didn’t really take long. I do admit that I did look through a few fashion magazines before I came up with this concept. It’s kinda hard to create something spectacular on your own, you know.

Anyway, you guys might not have known this but I wanted to be a fashion designer back in high school. My best friend Diana and I wanted to come up with a fashion design company and become rich and famous someday. We were gonna call it Dimarie (don’t ask why!) of course after graduation, we lost touch and our idea never really turned in to anything. Later down the road, I kind of was glad that I didn’t become a fashion designer. It’s not something I would enjoy doing for a living. I am okay with designing stuff for fun sometimes though :3.
