I made this drawing around noon today before heading to a brand new sushi restaurant that opened up around my neighborhood not so long ago, called O Sushi. I’m a real sucker for some good sushi. It was a really nice restaurant, the food was great and the service was very nice!

To be completely honest with you, I was a little bit inspired by the Katamari Damacy games a bit too. I kinda got hooked on Katamari Damacy when it first came around in American back when I was in Junior high. It’s what I would consider the idea “party game” actually. All of the characters and stages are very festive and party oriented and just plain crazy xD. That’s where I sort of got some of the crazy elements for this character.

Also, I have a weird question that I wanted to ask in this blog post that has been bugging me for a while. But do you guys think that I’ve been posting a lot of “cutesy” art work lately? Like, do you guys think my illustrations have been getting a little on the fluffy side lately? I didn’t notice this until I looked back at my old archives last night. My earlier work was a lot more fantasy inspired than now I think…I think I wanna start making things like I used to, more drawings with fantasy elements in them.

Anyway, the reason for why I drew an igloo for today’s daily drawing was because of a funny incident back when I was in 8th grade. It happened during May of that year and it was incredibly hot in my History class. This student started complaining about how hot it was (it was like 100 degrees or something.) So my History teacher told everyone to imagine they were sitting inside of an ice cold igloo out in the middle of the Alaska. Several of the students instantly burst out that when they thought about cold weather, it made them want to go to the bathroom. What? O.o

Anyway, every time I thought about the incident ever since, it would always bring me to laughter because it was the most awkward moment ever. How does thinking of the cold make someone want to use the restroom? So weird :s.

Also, I wanted to mention that I’m adding some art work to my Daily Illustration Gallery in the gallery section of the site. Anyway, I decided to draw some autumn leaves for today’s post. I recently did a project that kind of reminded me of the elements of fall so I took the time out of this evening to draw these! I think that autumn leaves are gorgeous, especially in October (my favorite month of the year, Halloween month, haha!)

Speaking of Halloween, I’m actually planning a few October posts with some short real life ghost stories xD. If you know me in real life, I am a HUGE believer in the paranormal. In all honesty though, I have some very scary things that have happened to me and some friends of mine within the past few years that I just couldn’t ever explain.

Finally, I’m working on an I 365 Art gallery pretty soon. Well, two galleries to be exact. One with all of the art I have posted to the blog and one containing the costumes/cosplays I have made during the past couple of years. I wanna put up some of my best pics in a gallery on this site for you guys to see. Cosplay counts as an art too, so I don’t see why they shouldn’t be here either :3.

The one posted up at the top is just one of designs I drew today. I often times ask myself ‘why didn’t I become a fashion designer instead?’ Mainly because I’ve enjoyed designing clothing (especially dresses) since I was in highschool. Coincidentally, I also liked creating characters and writing stories just as much xD.

I messed with the colors on this dress a bit in Photoshop – Same dress, different colors!

Kind of digging these last two actually, especially the green one. It’s so natury, I’d walk to streets in that dress xD.

I not only drew dresses and colored them in different colors, I also did some tinkering with Inkscape today as well. I’m still learning how to work with vector graphics on and off. I can’t seem to wrap my head around it completely, but i’m really going to dedicate some time and effort to learning how to create vectors for once in my life xD. I gotta make a commitment to this.

Anyway, this is what I came up with in the program after messing with it some. It didn’t turn

out as horrible as I thought it would be I’m guessing I’ll need more practice too :s. Anyway, here’s to a better day tomorrow :3!

Firstly, I wanted to mention how awesome it is to be back in the swing of creating art for the blog again! I knew I had it in me to draw again for the blog but I was kind of lacking drive for a little while. I was going through a lot of ups and downs emotionally and health wise and i’m glad that is all on its way to mending itself. It’s safe to say that i’m back now. 🙂

Today’s drawing is actually an illustration I made for my webcomic DeadFingers. It was my way of moving the story along I guess. If you haven’t read that comic, please be sure to check that out some time :3.

I tried to incorporate a romantic evening look to the image. It’s not really one of my best but considering this only took about an hour to make. Also on a side note, i’m in a really weird mood these days. I’m in a ‘I wanna make a video game’ mood xD. As some of you may know, I’m going to school for webdesign and programming. So naturally, I jump in to one of those kinds of moods every now and then xD.

As far back as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to craft out an adventure of my own. The more I studied in school, the more I realized how difficult it would be to do on my own. To make an awesome game, it requires a team of people and then some xD. I do have to admit that I am working on a small video game project with friends and friends of friends in my spare time. I am one of the concept artists for the team. Of course, I’m really hoping our project will turn in to something great but again, we only do this in our free time. We’re all either in college, work or both xD.

I took many more photos on the Vegas strip, I’ll try to post some more later, but this was taken on the hotel balcony. It was super high up for real! We were 29 stories up, that’s pretty high for me. I have a huge fear of heights. Hehehehe.

So I finally got around to coloring the previous Nightmare Mountain sketch I started a few days ago. It looks more like a swamp or a marsh in this colored version of the illustration though. I do like how it turned out though xD. It looks like a super imaginative place that doesn’t know what it wants to look like. It’s got dull colors, bright, purply colors for the sky and different shades of red on the ground. On the other hand, during my recovery time, I was playing a lot of video games, so maybe that’s why it turned out the way it did. It reminds of the backdrops in some of the old ps1 games of the 90s :3. Hehehe!

So this isn’t much, just a quick sketch of a flower drawing and airbrushed in Photoshop. I have still been using Artrage but I decided to use PS for this one since it’s a little more time efficient in my opinion. I’m not really sure what kind of flower this is supposed to be, the main point for it was to appear to look beautiful xD! Hehehe. Hope you guys like it :3.
