Future-like desert scene

As you guys might have seen already, this is the colored version of the previous drawing I posted up a couple days ago. I added color as well as some mountains off in the distance in this version, I thought the earlier sketch was a little bland.

And of course I included bold/rich colors as well. I really enjoyed creating the clothing for Orn in this image, I just went with whatever I thought liked nice for her outfit. Since she’s a rogue, I didn’t want to give her too heavy of clothing and I wanted it to be tight fitting (for convenience).

I will be posting 4-5 days in a row for the next few days and will try to have a line up of art ready next week for when I’m at Anime Expo as well. I’ve suddenly gotten a lot of inspiration for art lately and I’d like to post everything i’ve been making to the blog as often as possible. For now, toodles!

I’m sort of deciding what I should do with this drawing, like what kinds of colors I should place on it. I’m thinking the curtains in various spots of the room should be a deep magenta or dark red possibly, with heavy, hard wood floors. I want to make this illustration look as luxurious as possible basically!

For the most part, I’m very happy with how this turned out. I really like how the spiral staircases look in the image. I mentioned back in March that I never really liked how my non-colored sketches looked but I think this one is pretty decent. :3 I can’t wait to get this colored, not sure if I’ll post the finished version to this blog or not, maybe!

I made this drawing around noon today before heading to a brand new sushi restaurant that opened up around my neighborhood not so long ago, called O Sushi. I’m a real sucker for some good sushi. It was a really nice restaurant, the food was great and the service was very nice!

So to start, I’ve never really been picky about my vegetables even as a child. My mom pretty much raised all of us to looove vegetables believe it or not, and now, I pretty much can down any vegetable, including roots xD.

I took a little stroll in my kitchen today and picked out some root veggies (carrot, parsnip and turnip). I just made some quick sketches of each vegetable and made them look pretty with a little help from ArtRage and PS.

Anyway, the reason for why I drew an igloo for today’s daily drawing was because of a funny incident back when I was in 8th grade. It happened during May of that year and it was incredibly hot in my History class. This student started complaining about how hot it was (it was like 100 degrees or something.) So my History teacher told everyone to imagine they were sitting inside of an ice cold igloo out in the middle of the Alaska. Several of the students instantly burst out that when they thought about cold weather, it made them want to go to the bathroom. What? O.o

Anyway, every time I thought about the incident ever since, it would always bring me to laughter because it was the most awkward moment ever. How does thinking of the cold make someone want to use the restroom? So weird :s.

Also, I wanted to mention that I’m adding some art work to my Daily Illustration Gallery in the gallery section of the site. Anyway, I sketched out this jeweled necklace about an hour ago after waking up from my 3rd nap :s. It’s not that extravagant of a drawing but I wanted to post something for the first of September! To be honest, it sort of reminds of the Heart of The Ocean on Titanic (not really a big fan of that movie to be honest!) I’m still working on the art and cosplay galleries for the blog in the near future. I really can’t wait to have those up eventually. :3

Anyway, I decided to draw some autumn leaves for today’s post. I recently did a project that kind of reminded me of the elements of fall so I took the time out of this evening to draw these! I think that autumn leaves are gorgeous, especially in October (my favorite month of the year, Halloween month, haha!)

Speaking of Halloween, I’m actually planning a few October posts with some short real life ghost stories xD. If you know me in real life, I am a HUGE believer in the paranormal. In all honesty though, I have some very scary things that have happened to me and some friends of mine within the past few years that I just couldn’t ever explain.

Finally, I’m working on an I 365 Art gallery pretty soon. Well, two galleries to be exact. One with all of the art I have posted to the blog and one containing the costumes/cosplays I have made during the past couple of years. I wanna put up some of my best pics in a gallery on this site for you guys to see. Cosplay counts as an art too, so I don’t see why they shouldn’t be here either :3.

It could have to do with the notion that Monday is such a horrible day because it’s the beginning of a new week. But I would think that this would be great! The start of a new week and all. But instead, something always goes wrong on this day x.x. I end up not getting my homework done on time or I end up not getting enough sleep and I feel like a zombie all day.

Anyway, since I had like no time yesterday, I decided that I would plug in my latest tutorial drawing on the blog today. Yes, another eye! But this time, I changed up the directions a lot more. I tried to make the drawing process a little more clear. I had a lot of fun writing the steps for painting the eye. Hope this is enjoyable to someone.

I’ve done without the stuff for so long that it doesn’t bother me that I can’t eat them. I still they look yummy and pretty though xD. Even while making this drawing, I tried to make the most delicious most scrumptious looking chocolates its in all of the land. And of course, I included a giant heart chocolate smack in between.

On another note, this is the first time I’ve ever had a valentine xD. I used to just go to the store and buy a bunch of junk food and take it home to eat it. I have a fast metabolism so I wasn’t worried about gaining any weight. But it’s really great to have someone to spend this time of year with for once :3.

Speaking of which, I’m working on some simple tutorials to add to the Tutorial section of this blog. I’m gonna start out with some easy ones for now and then work my way up to more elaborate tutorials. I’ve never written a tutorial before so I’ve put a lot of thought in to them. I hope I can really help someone out with these tutorials. Another thing I’m planning on introducing to the blog is a possible calendar book collection of various artwork from 365 challenge. We’ll see!

Finally, on to the drawing. The drawing is a mix between fantasy and science fiction, hence the Dark Future title. I was also aiming for a January theme as well. As of last night, I started thinking about adding drawings themed for each month. Next month is going to be fun, without a doubt. This drawing took me about 2 1/2 hours to draw and color in. I consider it another one of my more detailed pieces, kind of like my Water Willow drawing.

Still fighting a cold but I feel much, much better after sleeping in a couple hours longer today xD. Rest and plenty of fluids work wonders. In other news, My boyfriend and I will be going to the movies this weekend to see Red Tails :3. We’re really looking forward to going but I need to try to kick this cold before then. I’m beating it so far xD xD!
